Caroline Walker was over the moon when she bagged herself two cheeky tickets to the Friday night gig at Brixton Academy – she definitely partied hard as she fills us in below:
When I got the phone call to say I’d won tickets for Brixton I was SO excited. I absolutely love the Swedish House Mafia and have travelled everywhere to see them, yes I am a groupie! I rung my sister Lindsey and got her out of a meeting so I could scream down the phone, she was as pleased as I was!!
Linz arrived in London on the Friday and we got drinking straight away then got a taxi to Brixton, we were let through the stage door and unfortunately didn’t get to meet them, not without my lack of trying though 🙂
I’ve never been to Brixton Academy before but the place is brilliant, there’s a huge stage where the dj box was set up then a big sloped dancefloor, there were 3 huge screens at the front of the stage and the whole place was covered in mirror balls.
We got straight to the front and whilst waiting for them to come on we got chatting to loads of ace people and had a good laugh, everyone was well up for it.
The Swedes came on and the whole room went mental, every tune they played was amazing, there was fire and smoke being shot out of the stage and the lasers were all over the room. Then they played Show Me Love (which is my all time favourite dance tune) and it was f***in brilliant, there was a massive build up then when it kicked in millions of heart shaped confetti were shot out across the dancefloor, we were all covered in it. We could feel the bass shaking inside our bodies and our nostrils were even dancing on their own!!! We literally danced until our feet burned.
What a fab night, I took so many photos and videos and can’t stop you tubing the night to watch it over and over again. THANKS so much for the tickets, we loved it so much we went back on Saturday night for round two with the lads we met in Ibiza whilst raving to SHM in Pacha and their mate Glass Eye Glen, see the photo for his party trick 🙂
